A celebration of Don Mee Choi’s new translation of Kim Hyesoon’s All the Garbage of the World, Unite! (from Action Books).
Don Mee Choi is the author of The Morning News is Exciting (Action Books, 2010) and has recently received a Whiting Writer’s Award. Her newly published translation is South Korean poet Kim Hyesoon’s All the Garbage of the World, Unite! (Action Books, 2011). Her previous translations include When the Plug Gets Unplugged (Tinfish, 2005), Anxiety of Words (Zephyr, 2006), and Mommy Must Be a Fountain of Feathers (Action Books, 2008).
Melanie Noel is the author of Monarchs (forthcoming from Stockport Flats Press). Her poems have appeared in Fine Madness, Filter, Weekday, and on the audiomagazine Weird Deer. She’s also written poems for short films and installations, and from 2006-2008 co-curated APOSTROPHE, a dance, music, and poetry series, with Gust Burns, Michele Steinwald, and Beth Graczyk.
